Hannah Henze

Hannah Henze began taking aerial lessons in 2014 and immediately fell in love. She worked to take classes as often as her schedule would allow and really found her passion in aerial art. With background in gymnastics, dance, and pole, aerial arts fit in perfectly. She continues practicing, performing, teaching, and learning through her aerial adventure. Recently she has decided to take on learning contortion, corde lisse, and flying trapeze, as well as working towards her teaching certificate in yoga. Hannah has a combined Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, and health science as well as two different minors in nuclear engineering. In addition to performing aerial arts, she works full time for the University and part-time teaching aerial and yoga. She has also introduced a yoga class with cats, volunteering her time to Second Chance to help bring awareness to the no-kill shelter and lead a community yoga class in the process!

In 2015 she performed for the Film Director’s Party at the True/False Film Festival, Les Bourgeois Collector’s Series Wine Party and Art Show, Blue Restaurant and Fresh Ideas Party, Peddler’s Jamboree, and has also performed for various EDM DJ’s as a gogo dancer including Bro Safari and Dirty Phonics. In 2016she competed in the professional division for lyra at the Central Pole Championships in May, placing third and qualifying her to compete at the Pole and Aerial Sport Championships in Seattle in August. She also competed in open division lyra at the North American Pole Dance Championships in July where she received the Bronze Distinguished Performance Award.
